About Camilla Brendon

-Camilla Brendon is Traveling from Chile to Alaska creating works that are part of the piece 34South|61North-

34South|61North was created to explore artists and artistic practices within contemporary art in the Americas. The eventual outcome will be to create a cultural venue for local and international artists and travellers to share creative concerns, concepts and ideas. The centre will enable this creative dialogue through events, residencies and programmes.

Within 34South|61North Camilla is developing several art pieces. namely:

‘Take Spaces and Make Them New’ ,‘The Map Exchange’ and ‘GMT-‘.

‘Take Spaces and Make Them New’ has  strong human and environmental elements so with this work Brendon gives workshops on using recycled and found materials and installing art into public spaces along with talks on her personal experiences working in this way over two continents.
